Here's a fabulous vintage 1940s embroidered quilt with 48 states, their state birds, and state flowers. Alaska and Hawaii are missing because they weren't a state at the time it was made. It has never been used/washed and is clean and crisp. This is an old quilt top that was finished within the past 20 years or so. The backing and binding is period appropriate and it was expertly and ornately machine quilted by a woman who has won awards for her work. All cotton, thin cotton batting, binding hand finished. No holes, wear, or unpleasant odors. Aside from two age spots (one is photographed) I see no problems whatsoever. It's so much prettier in person...you will love it! (71x89 inches)
